A planning approach

There are a number of methods that can be used for pastoral planning but they each contain certain core steps in a dynamic cycle represented as follows:

In relation to a specified area of importance–
  • where are we now? (review) Step 1
  • where do we want to be? (set the goals) Step 2
  • how will we get there? (plan the action) Step 3
  • are we doing what we decided? (do the action) Step 4
  • where are we now? how can we do better? (review and adjust) Step 1
... and so on.
