Commitments |
We are a people who through baptism are committed to promote God’s reign within our families, workplaces and society. How can we affirm and support the heroic efforts of Catholics to live the Gospel faithfully in the course of their everyday lives? We value the enormous contributions of women and men religious whose lives of service have contributed to the effectiveness of our pastoral ministries. How do we help the laity undertake pastoral services currently undertaken by rapidly declining numbers of religious? We are committed to the nine priorities of Synod 2003 promulgated by Archbishop Bathersby on 27 July 2003. How can we energise Catholics to play their part in turning these priorities into action? The Jesus Communion Mission vision and the nine archdiocesan priorities provide a common direction for us as we strive to build a vibrant, evangelising Church. |
