2010 Lent Program This site brings you information and previews about a wealth of resources for Lent 2010. To order or preview follow-up resources, eg Hearts Enlightened - The Easter Word (Lectio Divina process for Easter season), visit the Faith & Life online store. Our adult reflection and discussion Lenten resources have been used by over 150,000 participants and the feedback has consistently been enthusiastic and positive. The adult resource for this year, Remember me, includes an attractive 64 page book beautifully illustrated by Sr Dorothy Woodward RSJ. The book can be used by an individual or a group. For group use there is a ‘Leader’s Guide’ section and discussion questions. The accompanying set of two CDs include recordings of the hymns for opening prayer, Taizé chants for the closing prayer, the Sunday Gospels, meditations (Food for the Soul), and inspiring quotes from contemporary spiritual writers (Soul Searching). Sr Woodward’s scripture paintings for each week of the program are also included in a series of prayer cards for each week of Lent. These have been requested by parishes to take to nursing homes, housebound or to give to ‘far-away’ Catholics. Family Prayer Time – Lent to Easter Year C. This resource completes the liturgical cycle for this series. The book and CDs have been designed to be attractive and simple to use by parents (or grand-parents) with their families. The 72 page book is excellent value at only $5.50 (CD $11.00). The team has also published a series of family prayer cards (three sets with nine cards in each). Each card has a photograph on the front with a scripture verse. On the back there is a prayer and a ‘Faith in Action’ suggestion. The site now includes music for the Responsorial Psalm for each week of Lent written by Trish Stapleton (Coordinator’s tab). The ‘Coordinator’ section provides a variety of material to assist the parish implement and promote the resources.
