The ANZAC spirit lives on in us and generations to come

On ANZAC day, above all days, we remember and pay homage to the Australian men and women who died or suffered in the great tragedy of war. We remember not only the original ANZACs, but all who fought for our country.

The ANZAC Day Mass has been held for many years and features the participation of many war veterans and their families.  As these numbers decrease, we wish to keep the celebration alive as we give thanks for the dedication and selflessness of so many who have given their lives in service to our country.

Archbishop Bathersby celebrates this Mass each year and we are honoured by the presence of representatives from all levels of Government and the Australian Defence Forces.

Features of the Mass will include participation from Veterans; Chaplains; an Army Altar Guard of soldiers of the Gallipoli Barracks, and School students of various Catholic Colleges and Schools.

Those who are attending the ANZAC civic commemoration will be able to attend this Mass first and then proceed onto the march.
