Centacare Appeal

This appeal is run every year with donations canvassed twice yearly by way of special Parish collections and Direct Mail campaigns. Centacare is the welfare arm of the Archdiocese of Brisbane. The proceeds of this appeal go to the charitable services of Centacare in the areas of Catholic Family & Community Services (with a special emphasis on Children Help Programs), Hospital Chaplaincy, Psychiatric Pastoral Care and Prison Ministry.

Each year the demand for services from Centacare continues to rise and whilst some services receive Government funding, the gap between what is provided by Government and the costs involved in delivering these services continues to grow. Centacare Brisbane provides services and care for in excess of 50,000 people annually. Proceeds from this appeal go in part towards covering this gap.
